I plan on going Saturday morning.  Not sure where yet.
If you can't play nice, get off the ice!

Yup. I'll be out there after the storm.-But I'm going scouting today if it stays calm like it is outside: and by scouting I mean bring a drill, some minnows, and flags out somewhere N.W. to cut some ice on this crisp, clear, single-digit day! Se y'all out on the ice!

I'll be out Saturday in the NW corner. I'm going to do a little scouting / jigging tonight. Based on what I see and where my brother wants to fish is where I'll end up Saturday morning  ;D

Good luck and be safe all who venture out. I wish I was going but heading to the Meadowlands to see the Jets take away the "Dolphins" playoff hopes!!! Kinda like fishin.

Well; the wind was pretty much non-existent friday so I grabbed a couple odds+ends & minnows:+ went fishing! Anyone who'd want to get out would do good somewhere small, shallow, north, and of high elevation like wood creek. Not where I went; but similar. It was a beautiful afternoon on the ice!-Felt great to get out!-Ended up with two decent largemouth and three perch. C&R'd all but one gill-hooked perch for the fryer. Great times! Drilled a solid 4-5" from the launch out to where I fished. A REAL 4-5 inches: not when guys say 4-5; you go out+ drill 2-3". So I hope this is a sign of times to come.1st. ice!
over 4 inches thick-
The first flag of the year got me this;
And another bass: this one went 15".
Can't wait to get out again!

Fished Tyler all day , snow was a bit much but good to get out. I measured 4-5 inches in all the 12 holes fished. Walked out on Bantam guys were out in coves but I only padded a hole so no accurate safety.
