My go to jig is the rapala jig n rap 2" in rainbow trout color. I put spikes on the treble hook. I'm no expert by any means but I always seem to go back to that jig.

Smallest Perch colored Jiggin Rap, they're cannibalistic critters. Generally like a Red Wolfram or Optic jig with a red plastic wedgee type tail, they like slurping up worms as well

For finesse fishing my go to jig is a pink gill pill with a maki plastic tipped with a spike for scent. Best search jig is a rainbow rapala jiggin rap

How aggressive do you jig the rap? I have had hit or miss days with my raps.

I like the hali spoons with dropper chains and waxies. I use it for a fast falling search lure, then switch up to a lighter bait for the less aggressive fish.

Bright colored spoon with something good on the end for scent :icefish: but on most lakes I fish they'll hit anything that smells good

Ha ha!  I don't see much of a consensus here!  Everybody seems to use something different.  Leaves lots of fun time for trying them all out though!

Gold buckshot rattle spoon has been hot up here this year, I seem to do most of my perching with swedish pimples with either the single hook or something small like a Genz worm tied to ha half-inch or so dropper. Hard to beat a glow hali on a lot of days too, especially for fishing deep

I love a #2 swedish pimple with a single hook tipped with as hardy of a bait as the fish will allow.  But since this is a go to lure page, Its a #2 pimp tipped with a gulp alive smelt minnow head.

Try a 1/4 or 3/8 oz Flutterfish and DON'T tip it.  Trust me.  ;)  This fish was caught earlier today and sent to us by a VERY happy guy...

A 50 blue and silver Hali with a maggot until I can get the first perch eye.
If the bite is light I like a chart. genz bug in the smallest size with plastic or a maggot.

I had on a northland doodle bug when I went out the weekend, limited out in 2 hours.  I am think I might have to try it again.
