Thorne Bros. Rods For Lakers. Are they worth the cost?

I was wondering if the Thorne Bros. Rods, notably the 42" mh action professional graphite are worth the $84 tag? How are the sensitivity and hooksetting power? Do they help keep fish hooked better than shorter rods. My frabill ultra ice jigging stick has decent flex, but I lose almost half the lakers I hook, usually right near the beginning of the fight. So I would be catching probably 15 a day instead of my average 7 or 8.

Thorne Bros rods are da bomb.  I've got 3 of them and I do have one for lake trout.  Can't remember the length now, but I think it's about 42".  I also use it for northern pike and it's a great as a pike pole.  I haven't done much jigging with that one, but I have with the Walleye Sweethearts and the sensitivity is unbelievable.  I've even used my Walleye Sweetheart II for panfish and with 2 lb test flourocarbon line I can feel a crappie minnow wiggle with my index finger on the line. 

I live near the Twin Cities so I'm able to hand pick a rod from their display, so it can be a little tough picking one out online and not being able to pick out the preferred size.
