I see these on the Thorne Bros. site and was wondering if your line goes thru the spring? ???  Thanks.

Usually, depending on which model.  Just use a BIC pen spring and paint the tip orange!

eiter a pen spring, or if you got a lighter that is out of fluid you can pop the steel wheel off of it and use stretch and use the spring under it.

Perchchaser,
Wrap about 4 or 5 coils onto the end of your rod tip so the majority of the spring extends out past the last guide. You may have to stretch the spring wire close to where it goes past the last guide so that it fits properly. You can use heat shrink tape, hot glue, or even electrical tape to secure it to the rod tip. You then run your fishing line through the last guide then through the spring so that your fishing line hangs out of the spring. Hope this helps.

There are 6 styles with pictures at:

Or hit www.google.com type 'spring bobber' in the search field and look through the returns.
