why didn't i buy it sooner?

first off, my new vexilar is absolutely worth every penny. i should've bought it sooner!
caught this perch on a lake we seldom fish, and without my vex i would've gone home fishless.


got all these perch in a small pond where it's surprisingly hard to find fish, let alone catch them consistently.
not much size to most of them, but i was the only one catching fish that day among more than 20 anglers, so i call it a win.





i even had one guy come and ask what the blue thing was.
the look on his face was priceless: "a fish finder? for ICE FISHING?" 


i'll update this as i catch more fish.

I have forgotten my boots and gloves at home before, but never the flasher!  Couldn't fish without one after fishing with one.  Congrats on your purchase.

After fishing with one for a few years I dont know how I caught fish with out it.

you caught them on a pole and jig. . Or you did it the easy way drop jig to bottom and 3 cranks up.

I have a marcum vx-1 pro.  The toughest days of ice fishing I would come home with something because of my finder.  I want a marcum lx-5 but my wife wants me to keep my vx-1 pro too.  I drill less holes but do wonder if I should try it blind some times.
