There's no big pike in Black Lake. ;D  The best numbers of large pike I've seen near hear are from the Brandy Brook outlet to the St. Lawrence, near Waddington.
PM me if you want more specific info.

I caught one in Five Falls Reservoir on the Raquette River while up at Clarkson that was around 8 lbs. Not a monster, but the Raquette has got a lot of fish and a lot of potential.

Also you could try Coveville in Saratoga. Its alcove marina off the hudson. all catch and release but everything that swims in there is freakishly huge.

The Great Sacandaga Lake ,I have never caught a 20 pounder , I believe I have had them on ,but never ice them. I have seen many 40 plus inchers pulled. It seems like they are caught weekly on that lake. Like they say bring a book. It can be a long day on the dead sea. ::)

Today in the Fish 307 Store a guy came in from Lake Paradox with a 41 inch Northern Pike that weighed 16 and 3/4 lbs. It was beautiful and they said lots of people were hitting on the Pikes and they were big! Lots of people have been talking about that place!

The racquette is scarce these days. Guys are tellin me there going three or four days without a flag.

If you want a monster pike keep pounding the st. Lawrence. There is plenty of them to be had.

I'll have to agree i live on the raquette and often spend many ice fishing days with not a single flag.
