Clam plate vs nils adapter for 6 and 8 inch Nils hand augers - suggestions

1 I have a 6 and 8 inch Nils hand augers
2 I ordered a Makita hammer drill with 5.o amp batteries
3 I ordered a Nils 8 inch power adapter from fishusa BUT it is back ordered and may not show up (I called nils usa to see if they were still shipping these) ? I figured this will work on both 6 and 8 inch auger.
4 Nils power adapter is cheaper and simpler than Clam plate and I would need a clam plate to nils adapter also ie approx $100 total.
SO:
 
1 Where can I get a Nils 8 inch power adapter or just wait til next year?? or
2 Should I spend the extra for the clam plate and if so which vendor on ebay makes a quality clam plate to nils adapter? Any Clam plates on sale now?This seems more complicated than the simple Nils power adapter.

I use the same adapter as above on an 8 inch nils. No need for a clam plate with a nils.
