First of many

Found a few Lakers today.... 3 inches black ice and about 4 frozen slush inches. Nice temps for the upcoming week. Hopefully I can get to where I want to be fishing soon.

Dying to hopefully get on some Lakers this upcoming weekend with this cold weather. Time to put some miles on the truck to find some ice.

Way to get after em Vin . Definitely fishable ice but I agree it'll be nice to get on some "bigger" water

You did much better than I did!

I got this one yesterday, I was only out about an hour and didn't want to walk too far.  Just checking the ice kind of thing.  But at least I wasn't skunked!

I just went in my cove.  A little over of inch of crust.  I was able to walk on it without falling through. 3 inch layer of water, then about 3-4 inches of ice.

I only went out a couple of hundred feet.  The cove is only 22-25 feet deep and sheltered, so it freezes early.
