Don't get me started on the Loons. Actually it isn't the Loons, but the Loonies.
Although I do wonder the impact of Loons on the fishery.
So the avg Loon eats 2lbs of fish a day, 60 lbs a month, 7 months a year, 420 lbs of fish per Loon. If you have 6 Loons, that is over 2400lbs of fish per year. It adds up. What impact is 2 tons of biomass on a 1000 acre lake?
Did you see that last year they changed the facts? Previously it was lead split shot was the culprit. Loons pick it up from the bottom and ingest it and die. That is what started the whole lead ban. They came out last year and said split shot really isn't a factor, it's jigs. So their whole initial argument and legislation was based on lies.
Like I said, I'm not against Loons, but just wish there was some accountability for the Loonies.
Oh and I am surrounded by Loons when I fish in the summer all the time. So much I have to move because I don't want to catch one.
