South Dakota Game Commission approves year round spearing for 2015 on November 6,2014

NEW Regulation: Allow northern pike and catfish to be speared year round from all inland lakes except areas closed to game fish spearing on the Missouri River and lakes managed for muskies
Perfect! We still had 36 inches of ice on March 15th when our season ended. How sweet is that!

 Haven't tried it yet but that sounds interesting! See some people doing it at Lake Poinsett near the shore.

I have always wanted to cut a 4’x6’ hole in the middle of a pontoon boat and build a crank down darkhouse for summer spearing. Is there anything like that in other states that have pike spearing in the summer??
