Srikemaster 2000 Ice auger

Broke the transmission on my auger and was wondering if anyone has had one rebuilt and how much it costs. Auger is about 10 years old so I don't know if I should just junk it and buy another or fix it.

Call strikemaster. They are pretty good about fixing up old augers.

Hey all, I'm newly registered but a longtime looker on the site.  Thanks for all the info. 
I just finished rebuilding my tranny on my 1996 mag 2000.  It was well worth it and was super easy to fix.  Awesome service from http://www.drockicecenter.com/parts_iceauger/model1996_2000.html.  They had the parts shipped to me in three days UPS ground and I was only down for 5 days.  Cost about $115.00 for two gears and the lower housing with shaft, but it sure beats looking for new one.  Good luck.
