Title: Otter Hideout xt Assembly
Post by: youngblood on Jan 22, 2020, 04:05 PM
In the process of assembling my new Hideout. I Have my Hyfax kit installed and the frame work done. I didn't install the seat I am on the fence about installing it.It seams like a lot of extra weight. Whats your thoughts on that ? I have several fold up chairs which I have used in my last hut which are light and fairly comfortable. I was also wondering if the wind support poles are needed ? Seems like a good idea but more stuff to carry and slows down the run and gun idea of having a flip over. Whats your thoughts ? Going to put my Shell on now any other thoughts or tips are welcome. I will be pulling this hut for now trying to keep the weight to a minimal  Thanks Youngblood

I have the hideout and love it------I use the original seat it is one of the more comfortable seats,at least for me.
I don't use the wind poles .  I've screwed a small platform behind the seat for my buddy heater to set on and I also use a small
piece of plywood to keep my feet off the ice works great
