april 3. i'm in the southern tier of ny.
this was several years ago, and it was on a small pond up in the hills.
i started that year in mid dec.
got to fish in 5 different months- hasn't been even close to that since

My personal latest is mid-March, I'm a nervous nelly! Ice fishing near the end of May,

late March a couple years ago. Last year was kind of wild - I went out for the last time on a Sunday and the following Friday I was golfing - nice warm spell.

Made it out til bout 2nd week in april, but I usually give up late march.
I usually start picking up more trip on the river in march for steel, or eyes before season closes.
