looking for some new ponds
« on: Dec 14, 2018, 03:03 PM »
I just started ice fishing 2 years ago.  Just started trout fishing last year.  Looking for some recomendations on ponds near south west NH that might be good to chase some trout before lakers open up?  Thanks.

Welcome to the site Jacques!

Fish and game had a list of trout waters which are open to year round fishing. Or the search feature on the site.

Most people on here are very wary of posting specific names of bodies of water. Most of them are small enough that extra pressure can really hurt the quality of fishing. A lot of people also have put many years into finding their “spots” and won’t just provide them to someone they don’t know on a forum.

That being said people are much more likely to provide help via PM. keep posting about your trips, and entering discussion on tactics (even if it’s asking questions), and people will be more likely to lend a hand. There is a certain protocol here and a lot of people only show up here to ask where you caught a fish, or what lake your going to. Those questions tend to go unanswered. If you keep posting about your trips and contributing to the site I guarantee someone will help you out.
