Jefferson county ice check 12/13/2018

I did the loop in jefferson county yesterday to check on ice conditions. These are my personal observed measurements checked with a tape. I'm not telling you its safe or not safe just what I found between 10am and 1pm on 12/13/2018

Perch Lake: 2.5 inches ice and 3" of snow. 2 groups fishing

Payne Lake: 4.5 inches ice and 1" of snow. many tracks and holes from past fishermen

Moon Lake: 4 inches of ice 50 yds out and 1" of snow. one set of tracks and some holes from past.

Red Lake: Frozen over. 1.5 inches ice over what is the summer boat launch area.

Millsite, LOTW, Sixberry: open water

Butterfield lake: frozen over but some open water at launch could not check ice.

Hyde Lake: 4 inches ice 1" snow. one group fishing out in the middle.

Goose Bay at town launch: 6" ice 1"snow. Many fishermen out including a 4wheeler on the ice.

open water at sixberry huh  .....wow  guess I better take my boat instead of a auger !  my buddy told me he was on it  now I'm upset a bit,thanks ya saved me a trip
