Fins feathers and more fins
« on: Dec 09, 2018, 08:31 PM »
Though I  walked across water in november this year, december 9th is now my earliest ice fishing day ever. Caught some trout and panfish on the tilt and jig and then took some lead to the sky. Great day overall with plenty of food to come. Also dry aging a few birds.

Icetilt made one of the nicest shots of the year on that rooster from inside a swamp thicket. Nice shot buddy! The covey of 8 partridge was also fun and a memory that will last forever.

Hope you guys enjoyed that roasted hind quarter.

Mike, couldn't ask for a better day to end the bird season and start the ice season!!!!! Plus the new Ice Helix 5 i got is awesome. Sucks you couldn't stay for the hind quarter we did in the afternoon it came out awesome and many beers were consumed around the fire pit!! Oh after you left Logan ended up icing 5 more trout on the tilts.

No worries man plenty of venison for me this year. Its the camaraderie that was missed. Glad you are joining us up north. Of course he caught more trout!

Jon - we got another joining the feast.

I may procure a snowdog before the derby...we shall see!

That would be awesome. I am bringing my 4 wheeler up and I think icetilt is as well. mobility will be key if the weather plays nice.

Absolutely.  I can fish all day without dropping a line!  Once I find those Lakers, game on!

You are our Laker guy, that's for sure.
