According to my friend who drives by it a couple times per week, Plainfield Pond has  not had fishable ice for at least the past two weeks.

The only ponds in MA that I am aware of that are likely to have fishable ice right now are in the Pittsfield State Forest (Berry Pond) (at an elevation of 2.150 feet above sea level - -and which requires  a 3 mile hike from the parking lot unless you have a snowmobile) or Savoy State Forest (Burnett's, Bog or North Ponds) (at about 1,900 feet above sea level).

I tried Berry Pond two weekends ago and both Bog and North Ponds last weekend.  (You can check my posts re same).  I plan on trying Burnett's Pond this Saturday.

Good luck if you decide to go within the next week or so - - stay safe.
