Ice Tanty? Using a camping tent as a shanty

Anyone ever tried this?... Works ok as a shelter, especially with a black tarp.

 HT used to sell a 2 + 4 man Pop-up that was basically a dome tent. I had the 4 man not bad on nice days but if there was wind the thing would blow inside out even with the 4 anchors they gave you... lol.


The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

Haha yeah, we thought we'd give it a try. It gives minor relief from the elements. I think I'll have to invest in a descent portable shanty.

I like the video! I have used a hunting blind with screw in ice-stakes to hold it down. Does the trick for me :)

Anybody ever try useing a pop up hunting blind? I have a 2man blind I figure I'll use to get me by for now. Just need to get some ice anchors for it.

See my post above...yes...works well on days that are not real windy. I use a Ameristep dog house style blind...
