Ice Fishing Newbie Moving to SD
« on: Nov 13, 2017, 08:03 PM »
I am an Icefishing newbie who is moving to Sioux Falls from Illinois in May. I can't wait to get out of this state. Anyway. Been soft water fishing all my life and seen ice fishing videos. Bought a lot equipment last year and sorta know how to use it. Extremely excited. I mainly fished in Illinois's largest state park called Wisconsin and in some industrial park ponds in the Chicagoland area. I'm glad that people are not afraid of sharing info and tips. I tell my kids sharing is caring but I never get any of the good cereal in the morning. Love to learn and can't wait to do it. When I do I will share it.

Welcome to South Dakota! Can't wait to get out myself. I just started ice fishing last year and love it. If you're looking for someone to fish with let me know.

Welcome! I'm on the west side of the state, definitely jealous of all the lakes on the east side. Lots more perch and panfish opportunities. This site will get you going and give you folks to chat with til you can get out.

Welcome. I'm sure South Dakota has enough outdoor activities to keep keep you busy all year.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

Welcome to SD! Lots of outdoor opportunities here. As far as ice fishing, I'll take it over soft water any day.

Welcome to SD.  I am a new member to this site, but I have been roaming around on here for many years as a non-member.  This is a great place for info and new ideas.  Once you start ice fishing you will get hooked!
