Just bought two spools of red "bleeding leader wire" from American Fishing Wire. Only $5 a spool for 30 yards of 45# test! Don't know if many of you guys use the stuff, but I really like it. No cut offs from pike, and the red is supposed to immitate bleeding bait. Don't know if it helps or not, but sure doesn't seem to hurt!

It's not on their website (even thought it says to go their for details). It's on the bottom of the front page of the flyers they send out.

I called customer service to confirm and they couldn't find anything on the website, but they knew about it.

I find a good LED head lamp is a required gadget in the ice shelter at dusk and night. The light moves where ever you are looking. I use the Quantum QHL-310, the light beam adjusts on a swivel up and down and focuses from straight beam to 90 degree spread, straight beam distance is 500 plus ft, 310 lumens. It has 3 modes, a high beam, a low beam and a strobe trouble mode. 4.5 hours of full run time in low beam mode on 3 AAA batteries. Low beam has plenty of light for in the ice shelter and high beam for picking up and walking back in the dark. I purchased mine from Harbor Freight Tools.

Used that 15% eBay coupon and picked up a flx-20, no tax for $467. Also used Ebates 2% cash back, and eBay had 8% bucks. So getting another $40+ dollars back. Not too shabby
