I have been wanting to get out, but mama had some surgery Thursday and isn't feeling very frisky yet. I was talking to paddlefish yesterday and he said you guys may have some nice slabs in your part of the country waiting to be caught.  ;)

Hope all is well with the little lady..

Yes they are waiting, we sure haven't been doing anything yet.......

I should see Charlie tomorrow, I'll say Hi for ya....

Hit Lake Louise yesterday in Hand County. Solid 10" with 5" of snow cover, a few bites but nothing up the hole.
Neighbors caught 3 nice perch.

reports of 3" to 7" of ice on the river at Chaney Rush and Joe Creek, hope to check it out early next week.

At least it was a beautiful day....

Pactola had 8-9 inches on dec 16th. Caught a couple trout. neighbors were catching a few rainbows and pike. This was at Jenny Gulch. There is still open water on most of the main lake. The north boat ramp had 2-3 inches.

sheridan has at least 6 inches in most places; roubaix has 8 (great place to take newbies ice fishing). Pactola's Jenny Gulch has ice, main lake was wide open on Saturday.

Fished Alvin Saturday which had a good 10-12 inches where it was clear. the cloudy ice was about 6" or so. also tried Vermillion Sunday and that had a good 12" on it. Did see a couple pickups driving on the ice out there yesterday. I thought they were a little crazy, but that is just me.

I was fishing in 20-25 FOW but the trout were suspended about halfway down the water column.
