A couple friends of mine made it out on the ice yesterday at Indian Lake. Ice was about 2.5" of clear hard ice. They caught a few fish. Myself I would need about another 1-2" before I get on the ice. I'm sure with the 10 day frecast its not going to last.

A couple of young, lightweight 'flat-bellies" were on Mogadore 12/12/18 on 2" of ice.

I'm a large guy. I'll get out once it hits 5".

Went over Sandusky bay tues lots of ice. Today not so much but still some out there. One more weekend of deer hunting and I am getting all my stuff out. Mark :tipup:

I am a 200+ guy so 2 inches doesn’t make me feel comfortable.

The prospects of drilling holes between Christmas & New Years doesn't look good

Tuesday, Jan 15th, 2019.. Inland lakes in NE Ohio starting to lock up. Ice formation continues to be SLOW. Ice thickness is less than 2" on most inland waters.

Farm ponds are getting an inch or two on them in north west ohio also. The upcoming snow doesn't look good for are area.

Caught 2 trout & a bluegill yesterday, wasn't all that far from shore. Ice was good n clear, but not that thick. I was w a buddy, wouldn't chance it solo. It was nice being back out but I'll wait for another inch or two now
