Shiner on a tip up
When Gander Mt. Went out of business, I bought more equipment than I will use in a lifetime of ice fishing... at 60-95% off I juyst kept filling my basket with anything I didnt have, and some I did! Guess I'll be doing some experimenting this winter!

Like crack for Walleye...
(Cabela's jig picture here) :)
I assume you're jigging minnows on those suckers?
-
Walleye...Swedish Pimple...green prism-with minnow head...
-
White ratso tipped with a wax worm for panfish when they’re being picky
-
I dont have one. The fish tell me what the "favorite" is and it tends to vary. A lot! Sometimes a particular offering is hot all season. Some are several seasons in a row. Some flop after a few hours in a trip...forcing my hand to try something else. Thats the fun for me though...the second I find myself reaching for the same offering at the same old spot...ill be done with this sport...

I know you said you use salted minnorws or live with it, but do you use that small hook near the head of the jig for anything. I know in the summer its used to keep the worm on but never seen it for ice fishing use

Hey Zern, what size fast snaps do you use?
-
For perching, I use the dropper rig. Size 3 Swedish pimple. Color copper. No treble hook. 2 inches of mono tied to tear drop jig tipped with grubs. If they are down there, they will hit it... :icefish:
-
1/16th oz. Blue Fox Flash Rattling Spoon in glow perch color. Killer. And discontinued. :-(
It's my favorite jigging spoon of all time and was already discontinued when I tried it. I bought up all I could find and have a decent stock of them.
Tight lines,
Bob

3/8 under the ice? Not doubting you, they just seem huge compared to all my tiny little tungsten jigs... we'll just call it "jig envy" lol

7 jigging rap. Red and chrome or fire tiger

1/8 oz silver kastmaster tipped with a waxworm catches everything. If the flasher shows they are down there they will almost always hit it.
