Haha, Nope. Just got denied access from Jim @ the marina. He is a respectful guy but I guess he had a bad encounter with a fisherman and his 4 wheeler some years back and that is what was told to me was the last straw. Is any one on this forum familiar with the situation? I had asked him 2 years ago with the same answer. I will try again until he lets me but that could be decades  ::).
Load it, Drive it, Park it
Bait it, Jig it, Hook it
Catch it, Clean it, Cook it
Simply put just get out/ and do it

Don't know about that incident but he and others there have denied me access for going on 9 years now, even offered to pay for access.
Wonder if I need to rent a slip in order for that to change???
My boat is too small for that!

Could walk from pelot bay from behind the marina. Bit of a walk.
Or from holcomb bay access.
Thats a haul, and I dont think it would be very safe near the opening
But I could be wrong.

Not good ice out off horseshoe reef so I wouldn't try to cross from Holcomb.. The currents can go from 10" of solid ice to just a couple of inches. A friend of mine splashed his wheeler trying to go from the marina to Palmers and he went way out around the open water. He got out because he had the good sense to buy and wear a floater suit and had to have the wheeler retrieved.

You could always do the state park on the other side...

Lots of people access it from RT2 @ Birdland Dr. As long as you are off the side of the road past the white line you are good.

Both there and the state park are such long haul across the ice, especially if snow covered and on foot, would really be nice if we could all get some kind of access on the pelot's point side!
