Need to head down to montpellier one day this week. Anyone recommend a new place to fish for pan fish.
Usually hit Curtis, but looking for something new.
Thanks.

I haven't been out there yet this winter myself so I can't vouch for the action but I did a drive-by of Berlin Pond today and there was a dozen vehicles parked on the south side and popups all over out there, so I'd assume safe ice. Good luck wherever you end up going!

If you can find 'em there are some nice perch but they can take a lot of work to track down

Thanks for the replies.
Talked to a guy yesterday and might try marshfield dam. Set some tip ups up for pike.
Never fished it but what I hear its a good fishery.

I hear that Pike fishing is slow there but some are pretty good size. I kayak fish there and get some nice bass off the steeper slope from the island. Lots of 6 inch yellows.
Load it, Drive it, Park it
Bait it, Jig it, Hook it
Catch it, Clean it, Cook it
Simply put just get out/ and do it

Marsh Res is a great place for action on small perch. Pike bite is slow, VERY slow, pickeral bite is great! But there are monster Pike in there. I've only ice fished it 4 times, and out of those 4 with 4 people each time, we have only gotten 4 total pike (probably 40 pickerel), but one was a 41 incher.
