Crooked Creek Fishing Report

Fished Thursday morning till Saturday noonish.  Three people 27 fish.  Mostly Northerns 2lbs to 6.5lbs.  Only 4 walleye.  Smaller 1-3lbs.  Cought 3 of the walleye jigging with a crainkbait with orange color and a minnow head. Most of the fish were on plain hooks and minnows.  3-perch, too small. We fished just east of Anderson Point aboud a hundred yards in front of the first small bay.  Ice was a good 13inches.  Fished 8-18 fow.   Any other reports?

A buddy and I were on CC from sun up to almost sundown on Saturday.  we were walking but probably got 1/2-3/4 mile down the bay and did well on perch.  15 keeps, threw some back and missed more than we'd like to admit.  Caught 1 northern.  It was a great day out there for sure.

Going to crooked creek mid feb where is a close place to stay..any suggestions would be great

crooked creek campground. might not be ice in mid feb. but lets hope there is.

I heard the cabins cant be rented anymore at crooked creek? I dont know for sure but If that is the case the closest town is Winnett and that is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from Crooked Creek...

That's correct Krakkon, the cabins are no longer available for rent.  Never heard the full story as to why... Anyone know more about what happened to the rentals?

Talked to Bob at the Bait shop in Winnett and the cabins are no longer for rent do to the lease agreement and some other mumbo jumbo.
