Anyone else fishing the Fresno Ice Derby?

I'm just curious to see if anyone else is fishing the derby this weekend?  I'm going to give it a go on Saturday.

To be honest, I have no idea who is running it, other than that it's put on by the Havre chamber of commerce.

Anyone know the results of this tourney??  Sounds like they had a good turnout....

I haven't heard yet.  I never even got a bite all day Saturday, and I couldn't fish on Sunday.  From what I was told, there weren't too many fish caught on Saturday.  I'm afraid I have no idea about Sunday.

heard fishing was slow.. but cody,his dad, and mario won $1000.00!!hell ya!! good ice but lots of water sitting on ice..their tipups were floating up off ice and getting pulled away by the wind sunday and they had enough and bagged it..30 1/2" walleye was speared by someone else!!  18" of ice when they got there and about 15" when they left. turnout on fisherman was around only 90 i guess?

Fishing was good Saturday 15 to 18 inches of ice in grmlin bay. 1st day Pulled 4 perch, 4 Northerns and 1 walleye. Walleye did not place at 22.50 Northern was 24.50, but the perch were 14.50 and 14.00 to place 1st and 2nd. Bob Strunk and Cody Strunk had a three way tie for 1st with there perch at 14.00. Mario's Northern took 2nd place at 25.25

thought you might have been pulling my chain at on your way the other night but guess not a friend talks with cody daily @ferg . good job guys! and hopefully gets cold so everyone can fish fresno for a while longer
