Tractor supply has them too. Thou, I’m not entirely  sure of the amp hr. Might be 7. They sell them for feeders. I kind of stumbled across them last weekend at a local TSC.

6-7 years is about the limit depending on how much you use it, how far you drain it before recharging, blah,blah,blah...They are a pretty standard battery you can pick up almost anywhere.  I usually buy mine up from a "battery post" for around 20 bucks.

. If you have a small multimeter, take it along when buying a battery at a store. Able to check batteries with low charges on them and look for the better ones.

12 volt/8amp is fine. As long as the voltage matches up and the amperage rating is the same or greater than the one you have you are golden. Higher amperage rating = longer run time. Think of it like this... AAA batteries = 1.5 volts apiece. AA batteries = 1.5 volts apiece. C batteries = 1.5 volts apiece. D batteries? You guessed it- 1.5 volts apiece. They all generate the same amount of voltage but a D battery has a much higher amperage rating than a AAA does so it could run the same 1.5 volt flashlight a whole lot longer. Hope that helps a little bit!

Any Ah will work as long as its 12v, you'll just get a longer use out of a higher ah battery. I noticed the other day that Walmart has 7ah sealed battery's in the ice fishing sections for $19.
