Trapper I've got a couple ,glad you made this post, forgot I owned them(there in a closet). There ok sort of like a little tip down. I can't really remember if they worked great or just ok. (back in my drinking days)

I personally love them--they keep my fingers warmer than using tip ups. Just have your drag set on your reel and you'll be fine. I think my catch rate is a little higher with these and you can watch the fish hit....your rod tip will do some dancing. Just remember to put your name and address on them....they count as a tip up. tight lines to ya

I see these tip downs have flags in ads. How do they trip?

my buddy uses them there great the only thing is if you use big bait you get bait flags i made 2 different but similar versions that work well and you can use the drag on the real to keep from getting bait flags (the bait i use is 12''to 14'') i do plan oon getting a few arctic warriors

warriors are great it allows you to fight the fish with a jig rod, but fish it like a tipup..........you can eliminate the "bait flags" if you wrap the line an extra time around the (flag rod)   the line will still come loose when u get a fish.....also do the extra wrap if u use super line or anything but mono.
