New guy here

Just wanted to say hi to everyone! I'm a recent convert to hard water fishing. This will hopefully be my first year on the ice, as long as we get it. I've been fishing my whole life and I'm pretty excited to try this ice fishing thing, anything I can do to get more time on the water. I lurked around the boards last winter looking for tips on what I needed to get started and now I finally joined. I'll probably mostly be found at Canoe Creek since that is my summer haunt in the kayak (hey its a short drive from my house) I'll maybe hit up Shawnee and Raystown some as well. Bring on the ice!  ;D

Welcome to Ice Shanty.  Lots of nice people on this site and most are willing to help you with questions.  Can't wait to get out this year.  Already in the process of getting a group of cub scouts out on the ice this year to get them doing some outdoor things.  Good luck

Welcome to ice shanty. Another great place to try is yellow creek lake in Indiana county. Last year was amazing there and you can catch a wide variety of nice fish no matter what your preferences might be!
