some pannies

went out to local farm pond yesterday got several perch on a jig i have made with spikes
and several gills on black fly with spike --fly was about one ft above jig,fished in about 8ft
of water in grass down but still green NOT much jigging

I love catching fish on flies that i tie myself  Always tie one on above my jig

yes,i tie mine also, the one i used yesterday was just black on a size 14 hook,but in mid winter
i go down to size 16 hook

NO-all went back,wife likes cod ,i have been unable to get any cod,must be using wrong bait??
WENT out yesterday[1/10] same place still no cod.
