The wife was happy with the dinner I cooked that evening. Walleye and corn cake. The guys at work will be pleased when I bring in the pickled Northern.

I've fished for those walleyes in St. Paul before, where do you go?

I would usually share but we pretty much have this lake to ourselves right now. It is in the middle of the cities. They stocked with 'eyes a few years ago and with catfish in 2004. I think the 'eyes and pike do not have enough forage.

They were tasty. Made a meal for the wife, kid and I.

Haven't been able to hit that spot again this season. Hope the 'eyes are still there.
