Depending on the bite I bounce back and forth between spoons and micro/teardrop jigs. I like to start off with spoons because when the fish are on them it’s a much more aggressive and fun bite. Not unlike lake trout tactics, if the spoons fail, I downsize. Buckshot rattle spoons, clam leech spoons and small kastmasters worked well last year. Then whatever teardrop you prefer. Color seems to change day to day and by body of water. Hope this helps

Custom Jigs and spins. Slender spoons! Some of their jigs. VMC ice flies.

Glazaba tungsten (any color) from custom jigs tipped with a worm, dead shiner etc ..... I bought some late in the season and did well.
I’ve also had good luck with clams epoxy drops, and PK predator
I just want to go ice fishing and ignore my adult problems

I wouldn't chase Crappie without a PK Predator in red dot glow tied on one of my rods, it's not the only thing I'd use but it's my go to... Stick with the treble too, no need to bait tip a predator...
Also check out Energized Outdoors, Matt has some great tungstens at great prices and if you buy 30 jigs he'll throw in a nice case to carry 'em. I just got my pre winter order in and I'm super happy with them.

I've had a lot of luck with number 10 Marmooskas by HT in orange/green, pink/white,  and chartreuse/green.  Other jigs that I've had luck with are the Northland's Forage Minnow and a chrome with green prizm stripe Swedish Pimple.  All of which I tip with a waxie, mousie when you can find them, or a spike.

I am expecting this lure to be very hot for the upcoming year. I call it my trigger bait. "Put it on your Facebook to trigger a liberal. Put it on your line to trigger a bite."
