do lakers like dace?

do lakers like dace? iv tried for touge twice and used dace. i caught a fish(and had numerouse more flags) within 30 paces of one trap with a smelt on it. but never got a flag with the one with a dace.

I have caught them on dace or about anything else you put down there. Catch about 3 to 1 jigging to traps. If they are feeding they will nail anything just about.

Leave the traps at home and just bring the jig rod, you'll have much better luck ;)

The biggest togue I have caught through the ice (11.5 pounds)  came on a 1 and 1/2 inch dace.

I would definitely use only dace. Smelts never work very good.

I've caught togue on just about every kind of bait. I think it's more dependent on what kind of bait fish inhabit the particular body of water you're fishin.
