Does anyone use Multi-Rigs for panfish?

I was asked about these today. I've never used them and don't even know if they are legal in MI.

Are you talking about like the premade crappie or perch rigs with the sinker and bottom and 2 seperate dropper hooks?  If so yes they are legal, and I use them out of the boat.  I've tried them a couple times ice fishing without much luck but in shallow water vs 20+ like out of my boat.  I was actually curious as well as to if anyone else uses them in deeper water ice fishing.

That's the one. I've never used them, but my brother-in-law uses them in WI and wants to try them here.

use them ice fishing...but dont really seem to be any better than a single jig...altho it is cool to catch 2 fish on one line which happens somtimes.
i just know they will bite if i stay another hour.

I used to use a jig on the bottom with a wiggler and a small/medium minnow a foot above it on a hook.....the minnow does the jiggin for ya!  Usually got the dinks on the jig and the bigger fish on the minnow when perch or panfish fishing.
