Tip of the day
« on: Mar 11, 2018, 12:43 PM »
I had my lucky lure stuck in my hat after the last time I was out on the lake. I always like to retie to ensure a good knot, so after I get done for the day I keep the lures I caught fish on in my hat. Well yesterday I had to lay some subfloor up at the house and had to go buy some sheets at the hardware store. Picked myself up some 3/4” sheets of plywood and stupidly was loading them into the bed of the truck by myself. Of course maneuvering around on ice in cowboy boots loading sheets of plywood into my truck by myself isn’t the smartest, but I wasn’t waiting for the ol guy to help me load them into my truck. Wouldn’t you know it that I slipped on the ice while loading the last sheet and dropped the sheet on my head. The sheet buried all three hooks on my pimple into my head. My neighbor comes out to the truck and I asked him to do me a favor. He gave me a smart remark “what shovel some more snow?” My response was no pull these hooks out of my head. He looked at it and about passed out and told me I had to go to the hospital. I whipped out the leather man and handed it to him. About a half hour later of him digging in my head, the lure finally came out. A couple of pieces of duct tape and a napkin and I was off to lay some subfloor. Lesson learned, quit being lazy and put the dam hooks back into tackle box instead of your hat. I got a good chuckle but dam my head throbbed the rest of the day.

I’m not into taking grusome pictures that make you squirm when you see them haha. Use your imagination of a 1/8 oz Swedish pimple stuck into my head where the hook is pinning my hat to my head.  ;)2

I agree: where are the pictures?

A friend caught a fly in his nose when fly fishing.  For weeks afterward he would whip out pictures of the fly in his nose and its removal and show them to everybody.

It’s like all of the “fish stories” I tell about all of the fish I caught that day. I don’t take pictures of every little fish i catch, hell even a limit  of fish. Now if I catch an absolute toad, I’ll take a picture. Everyone calls BS on it and then they go fishin or huntin or whatever I’m doin and go...... oh f*** that kid wasn’t kidding  :roflmao: but yes everyone now knows my secret to catching all of my fish. I use a Swedish pimple on 1/8 oz size. Would you like to know where I go elk hunting too?  ;)

Don't need to know exactly where the elk are but latitude and longitude on Google Earth would be close enough.
