Well for the first time in a long time I'm so far behind hitting the ice.  Last few years I've managed to be out by the 2nd week of November. This year Jan 3 was the first day out.  I was in such a hurry to get out to the lake I forgot my rod case and didn't realize untill I got to the lake.   So shoved a spool of 6lb mono up my sleeve and jigged away.   Managed a small perch and a Cisco so all in all not bad. 
Hit the lake with my rods this time Jan 4th and pulled off a much much better day this time !! I consider it my first actual day out lol.   Didn't break my record however I tied my pb ice walleye from last year at 30" with this twin !!! I don't  like to weigh them when they get this big    she might be a little thicker then my one last year! And shortly after then next one out the hole was her little cousin which I'd guess was about 8 lbs.    Quick pic and back they both went !   https://www.facebook.com/1067289136776759/posts/1337586029747067/

Were they a legal size to keep? or is there some kind of slot limit to what you can and can't keep? Also are they good eating that size?

I eat very little fish so majority of everything I catch goes back along with her.   


Some of our lakes do have slot limits size.  No fish between x and x length. 
Or no fish over x length.   

This lake has no restrictions and spits out many many 30"+   10lb+ fish all year long
