Im in CT and found a great fishing hole this summer with hundreds of crappie from 12in up to 17-18in long

thousands of 6inchers....lol

Got about 40 yesterday with a good friend from school! Lost a perch that was 14in or so..i was way bummed

Most fish were caught on a 1.5in white grub on a white 1/8 or 1/16ounce jighead with white body and red eye- on my ultralight 4'5" on 4pound test!

Biggest fish was 2.25pounds 16in or so

I know il get a record fish come spring when there full of eggs! Looking forward to iceing here this year!

ABout 20 feet of water, even got a bass today.

Those are some NICE crappie!!!  Holy Smokes!!!  I've been happy getting 11" and somtimes a 12"er.  I don't think they make crappie that big in IL.  :o

Nice fish.  Lucky they do makem that big in IL.  This spring I went out to a private pond and caught a meal for my in-laws and my family that all ranged from 12-14 1/2" long and threw a bunch of those back just so I would have something to come to this winter and try through the ice.
