Try a little penut butter in the middle of the sticky trap. If he is like my grandson, you'll have him dead to rights.

Once had a problem in da house with a rodent it avoided all set traps and I couldn't catch the critter, then one night I fell asleep on the couch only to wake up and see a gerbil standing in the hallway.

Never did trap that thing but I did let the daughter get a kitten. I have no idea how it got there (never bought the kids one??) but it disappeared after the kitty got there.

Upon closer examination it was determined to be a doe...luckily I had my MMP (mouse management permit)

Had the same problem a few weeks back in my office, found droppings on my desk first thing in the morning for a couple of days, set out sticky traps all around office and couldn't catch him for a few days then when emptying out plastic trash can under desk one day i noticed something brown fall out when dumping it, there was the mouse in the larger container, guess it climbed or fell into the basket and couldn't climb back out due to slick inside walls. Next morning found another mouse who had tried to run across the sticky trap and got 1 foot stuck, it was thrashing and bouncing all over trying to out out of dodge. Havent seen or heard of any "friends" since.

Roy, isn't using 4 sticky traps in one drawer kind of like using a .30-06 on squirells?

I personally like to use a 7mm mag on squirrel and bear traps to catch muskrats.

oven baked at 325 degrees for a whole 20 mins, just watch how much stuffing you add, too much and it'll split the ribcage

Had a mouse in my garage (detached) once. Put out a sticky trap with a piece of chocolate on it. Checked on it the next morning. Found the trap on the other side of the garage, piece of chewed chocolate in it, pieces of mouse fur, AND a few cat hairs in it.

Seems my trapped friend must have mad enough racket to alert one of the neighbors "farm cats".

That cat owes me dinner!!

Don.t want to burst your bubble, but don't put the traps away just yet cause if ya caught one you can bet there's a few more of it's buddies lurkin' around nearby. Perhaps ya ought to apply for a nuisance permit.

Decon stratigically placed will usually put a dent in the local population it's just that ya never know where the little corpses will show up.

Try snap traps with a little peanutbutter set as sensitively as possible on the floor/against the wall so they snap towards the wall.

The ones with the big yellow plastic trigger.

Anything else is hit or miss.

Yeah can't do that in the classroom. Not really supposed to have glue traps even but I figure if they're hidden in the desk drawer where the mice keep visiting, then no harm. I would love to throw some decon up in the ceiling tiles but I don't dare. It would be my luck that the ceiling tiles would fall with the rat poison spilling onto someone.
