4x4 Hours on Lakes?
« on: Nov 23, 2022, 06:18 PM »
Hi All

I just moved to East Gull Lake, Minnesota from Colorado two months ago and I am trying to understand the regulations for 4x4's.  I bought a 4x4 to get around on the ice and picked up the OHR/OHV Handbook at the DMV today while registering my 4x4.  While standing in line I read part of the manual and it said 4x4 hours on roads were 1/2 hour before/after sunset.  Does that hold true for ice fishing into the night or early morning?  I can understand the hour regulation for roads and trails but it doesn't make a lot of sense when on the ice. I would hate to leave a good bite right after sunset.

Appreciate any advice/input.

Thanks a bunch and Happy Thanksgiving!

Think you hit the wrong state forum for a correct answer. Try Minn. instead of Montana. Happy Thanksgiving.
