ice free minnow 'net' - egg yolk strainer

The minnow keeping post made me think of my minnow net that I have been using for years.  I bought the first one from a local bait guy.
Instead of the typical net it is a yolk strainer.  Works great, and if it starts to freeze up you can just bang it against the side of the ice bucket.



Looks like you can get them on amazon brand new, most of mine I have bought old ones off of ebay.

It's not the price, minnow nets can freeze solid.  These egg strainers don't freeze.

I must say the two I use haven't ever frozen over....or broke. Any icing up slides right off. But whatever works for ya, go for it.

Handle is to short to reach the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket.

Got rid of the minnow nets after i found out my steel ice scoop worked better & can't freeze up

Yup i just use my ice scoop.
