2B and Elliot rods
« on: Nov 09, 2022, 08:13 PM »
Anyone have any experience with them? Thoughts?  I own a few TUCR rods that I really like but thought about trying or adding another brand to my arsenal.

We have four of the 2B’s. Deadstick, Fast Draw, Soft Touch, and Prospector XL. Only used them briefly at the end of last year but excited to have all this year.

I would take any 2B or Elliott rod over TUCR any day. Compare them side by side. I really like the longer rods Elliott has in their lineup.

Have not owned or used a TUCR but, when I was researching a rod, I liked what I saw in the Elliotts. And when I was on the fence whether to go with the 42" Noodle or 44" UL , I contacted them for their recommendation on what my style of fishing was, they explained in detail which one would be best...and never tried to sell me on both or something else. Impressive.

I was just comparing the rods. Elliott customer service is top notch and they are great to work with. I have made over 20 orders with Elliott over the years. Trying to work with TUCR was the worse experience I have had with a fishing product. I wanted a rod from TUCR that was a ½” shorter on the butt. They said no. So much for being able to customize their rod. I guess being able to pick your thread color makes it custom enough. Don’t get me started on that Dan Baker guy from TUCR or that they pay to have bad remarks about their product removed from some fishing sites.

They are great people. Always helpful. Imo the best production rods on the market. Greg and Paul Thorne know a thing or two about fishing rods….

What is your favorite presentation with the paragon? I bought one end of last season and really looking forward to trying it.

I like the Paragon for small spoons and jigging baits.

What 2b or Elliot rod would be good for small spoons and little rippin raps or slab raps?

I'd say the 2B Savant or the Elliott Paragon

Dude, you gotta get over ripping on all these rod manufacturers. Some people like me like the Tennessee handles.  If you don’t like it, yea well.  Get what you want.  Your response was no help to me.

Seen your posts over the years, don't be a hypocrite.  You gave me no information on what I asked.  If you don't like it then don't respond.  How did your post help me at all??

Not sure yet, thought about an in-line reel but not opposed to a spinning reel.  Any suggestions?

Lol! Keep  assuming dude, you’re good at it.  Show me where I said I didn’t like them… I’ll wait. I want a glass rod with a real seat, I glanced at their page, didn’t see any so I asked if there were any and Spoonie kindly replied, I thanked him and the conversation was over. It actually super simple to understand if you read.
Neat thing about this forum and posts is that they can actually help more than the OP.
