Gasket replacement help
« on: Jan 26, 2022, 07:45 PM »
My jiffy propane auger gasket is leaking where you screw the tank on to it. I have no idea how to change the gasket. The brass post won't move. Anyone else ever do this? Thanks for your help

I’m not sure the gasket is replaceable. You may have to get the entire cap from Jiffy.

I thought my gasket was leaking to....but it was the regulator..... This happened yesterday... Propane was leaking through a small hole in the regulator.....I covered it with my finger and it had power to turn the shaft.....jiffy rep said that indicated a.back regulator.... I ordered one $75 said I'd have it Monday.

Im beginning to think that. Only thing is a new regulator is $80.00
That's a bit much just because of a gasket.
Remember this if you plan on going propane. Jiffy pro 4

Had the same issue right out of the box. So I didn’t have to pay for a new one.
Keep, it safe! JDL

. Yes it's under the fitting. On another fourm a gentleman said to cut the old one out and put the new one around the brass fitting. Not thrilled about that but $80. For a new one it worth trying I guess
