Very Slow bite on the river ice for everyone this afternoon within a 100 yard stretch, except (of course ;-) ) one lucky angler who iced 5 dandy eyes (3-5lber’s)

He was the only one of roughly 20 fishermen to put anything on the ice among us.

I had to walk past his truck to get to mine along the roadside so of course I just had to stop to talk with him.

He revealed this approx 3” White (possibly pearl) body with hot pink 1/4 way down from the top and metallic flake on back side... a 1st or 2nd cousin but no way was it a Swedish Pimple, close but this spoon was slightly narrower and thinner with the addition of a small rattle chamber just faintly visible out the backside of this spoon. I’ve looked online and I’ll be darned if I can figure out what it is.

Any ideas from the plethora of seasoned Walleye ice anglers on this fine forum as to its possible originality??

Update:

Lets make this interesting....

I Will send the First person who figures this out a Brand New in box unmolested Salmo Chubby Darter, ya ya I know sorry about your luck ;-)

Negatory x2, they’re both short/wide/r compared to this or a pimple which is long/er/slender

This spoon was long and slender, like almost indentical to a pimple but just a touch thinner. I think maybe the ones you’ve posted are more triangular in the middle, mystery spoon wasn’t, the saga continues haha.

This sounds interesting so I took a look online and would also like to know. Could it be, silver streak rattle spoon?

I just took a look at the Silver Streak Rattle Spoon Optimus and again, Negative, the SSRS has broader shoulders and the Rattle chamber protrudes where as this mystery spoons Rattle was pretty well buried flush but there was just a slight bump to indicate there was a rattle chamber present.

Could either of these be it?

No but the top link you sent, there’s a pearl/red head pattern that is the same as what I’m referring to but it’s not the same shape body.

The bottom link that took me to amazon, down below there were other lures and there’s what’s called a line of spoons named Silver Horde salmon spoons and I couldn’t find the white or pearl white and red head pattern but I’m almost thinking this is (other than finned tail) the closest resemblance yet. Doesn’t it look like it has a rattle chamber in it. I didn’t check the description but here it is. Hopefully this copied link works.

Anyone guess VMC rattle spoon yet? https://www.fishusa.com/product/VMC-Rattle-Spoon

Don't focus too hard on the color, could be custom painted.

Looked like a #6 or 3/0 treble and although I didn’t ask most people around here use minnows

I actually emailed the company I included the above link to see if this white/pink was maybe an older pattern, hopefully they get back to me

Could it be a flute spoon made by bay de noc also... Just a slimmer version of the pimple? Also a possibility this is a handmade lure.....

Did it have the red flapper thingy hanging by the hook like other Swedish Pimples?   What color was the metallic sparkle on the backside?
