JIGGER TOTTER!!!
« on: Dec 20, 2011, 04:35 PM »
boy oh boy!!!! If you guys have not had a chance to see these or use then I highly suggest you get with it and get some... I picked up six of them in the off season and I finally have had the chance to get out and use them. Let me tell you....MAN ARE THEY A BLAST TO USE!!!! We set up all six today for perch, which is mainly what I plan on using them for, and it was very soon realized that these are way better then the old set your rod on the bucket deal that I use to use for dead sticking. The bites and lightest strikes are seen with ease... With two of us fishing we managed to ice over 35 fish in less then two hours. I will be posting some photos later when I have a bit of extra time. Just thought I would let you guys know how awesome these things are!!!!

Basically the same principle we have been using with tip downs for years.

More of a rod holder than a Tip Down, these barely move and do not give them any line to run with and swallow the minnow.   The fish would feel pressure and drop the bait.  They must of had 10 bites before they caught one in the video.  With a Tip Down they would of had most of those on the ice.   Plus they were using expensive jig poles on them.    Not for me, give me a Tip Down!!!
