Muzzleloader identification
« on: May 18, 2017, 09:32 AM »
Hey Guys,
I know this is an ice fishing website, but since there are a lot of people on here I figured there would be at least one muzzleloader expert here as well. I've got a guy who wants to sell me a muzzleloader, but the gun has no works or markings on it. So I was just curious if anyone here would know just from pictures what it is. And administrators feel free to move. I didn't know where I could post this. Thanks.

I'm 99% sure it's a Traditions muzzle loader but I'm surprised there's no markings on the barrel.  This is an older rifle, based on the sights, and it came in a "kit" that contained the rifle and all the other stuff you need to shoot it.  If memory serves me right they were less than $300.

It looks like a CVA Bobcat;

The sights and scrolling look the same.

I second the CVA bobcat worth about 150 if the bore is clean.

It's %100 a cvs bobcat. Should have specs stamped on the barrel. Might have to remove the barrel from the stock to find them

It's odd that there's no markings on the barrel, I never saw a CVA without any.
