Thinking about fishing Wilsons in the afternoon tomorrow. This cold has definitely helped

nothing but a few wind flags yesterday, but had some hold over bait that was a bit shocky. Think I kept them too warm. Oh well. Not going to be too good today didn't get below 40 overnight. Might be on to working on my trout gear for opening day.

Drove by a couple spots near me this morning in northern ri. Looks a little beat but it's all there. I'll check with the spud later

Thanks for the update reginald... no good. I think that might set the tone for most of the state this weekend as Wilsons is usually one of the last to hold ice. Hopefully the cold helps a bit but might be time to start going north.

Another update- a few decent sized ponds near me (Cumberland area) are wide open as of this afternoon. This morning they were still covered. Wind and rain did a number on them. Two of the ponds had 6”-10” on them a week ago.

Bowdish is almost wide open down on the campground side and barely a light skim on the edges out 20-30 ft.

Yeah, think the season down here is done. Time to start driving north. Had a good season while it lasted though
