Does anyone have suggestions on what cleaning products to use on the windows of a pop up shelter? I have a Cabelas pop up and it’s a few years old.  I can’t see out out of it these days.

Ive used Windex but that didn’t make a difference.

Thanks!!

The ammonia in Windex will cloud some plastics and may make them brittle.

I had this exact same problem last year when I pulled out my eskimo fatfish getting ready for the season.  I talk to a buddy of mine that owns a tackle shop.  He gave me some info and it worked like a charm. step#1- With a rag or soft sponge in a circular motion wipe the windows really good with toothpaste (regular old colgate the white kind no grit or beads in it) step#2- take a sponge with with warm/hot water and wipe the toothpaste off step#3- dry the windows with a soft paper towel or microfiber rag...I did both the inside and outsides of my windows. worked like a charm for me, the were crystal clear again.. good luck hope it works for you as well as it did me

Nice info, will definitely pass it on in the future

Is there any secret to keeping the windows from fogging up and freezing? Maybe a waterproof spray? When I get my heater going It takes about 5 min and I'm scraping frost off them in order to see.. Keeping the covers over them helps a little..

They make an anti fog spray for your windshield in your car. I think they have it in walmart. Might work.

Dish soap - mixed mild.  Same as treating boat canvass windows.   Hope this helps...

WD-40. Cleans any crud on the plastic, plus fills in small scratches, and is water repellent. This also works on those cloudy headlight lenses on your car. Just rub it in with a soft rag.

I used a spray can of pledge on the soft top windows of my jeep. Worked great!

I like using the Rain-x washer fluid to clean them.  Cleans up most of the gunk and it seems to encourage the water to bead up for a while afterwards.

And if a bug is blow into the window it cleans right off ;D
