Eagle Creek / Geist / Morse ?
« on: Nov 03, 2005, 11:30 PM »
Anybody every ice fished on any of these lakes around indy? Have you done any good? It seems like everyone goes to summit...but I know these lakes have fish too..just curious if anyone has ever fished them
I use the 80/20 rule you need 80% of the tackle to catch 20% of the fish

I never have, but I know they ice fish Geist,I've heard stories of ice fishermen catching good numbers of catfish thru the ice there, panfish on the other hand, I cant answer,With me being 20 minutes from Summit,it tends to be tough to go elsewhere,I wish ya luck, and be careful,

The days of no one knowing about the crappie in these lakes are gone! It's been in ever indiana fishing magazine printed in the past couple of years...I hope it doesn't turn out like eagle creek with everyone keeping all of the little ones...I wish sometimes they would put a size limit on them at least 8" but I doubt if that will happen...
