Nils auger cutting diameter?

Does the 6" Nils or 8" Nils cut holes true to their size?   Cause the flightings looks smaller on them, probably why it leaves alot of slush hearing from what other folks comment on.

I just measured mine and it looks to be an 8” cuttinghead diameter and a 7.5” flight diameter.
